Prashanth Fertility launched ‘Prashanth Fertility at Home’, an initiative to provide select IVF-related support services at patients’ homes across Chennai.
The service is aimed at helping patients maintain continuity during fertility treatment, particularly those who may find it difficult to make frequent visits to the fertility centre because of work and other commitments.
Under the initiative, a dedicated team will provide services such as injection administration, eligible monitoring, follow-ups and treatment coordination at home, while patients continue to remain under the supervision of their treating fertility specialists.
A dedicated vehicle and team will operate across Chennai. Patients can schedule eligible services through the Prashanth Fertility app, which also allows them to manage appointments, follow-ups and treatment-related medical records.
Speaking at the launch, actor Khushbu Sundar, the chief guest, highlighted the stigma and emotional challenges associated with infertility and fertility treatment. She said couples often have to navigate not only the physical and financial demands of treatment, but also social expectations and questions around parenthood.
Samhitha Moturi, Director, Prashanth Group of Hospitals, said fertility treatment involves multiple appointments, medication schedules, monitoring and follow-ups, and repeated travel to a fertility centre can be an additional challenge for couples. “The initiative has been conceived to take appropriate, clinically supervised aspects of care closer to the patient,” she said, adding that reducing practical barriers could help patients stay on track with treatment.
Geetha Haripriya, Chairman, Prashanth Group of Hospitals, said the initiative was intended to make fertility care “more accessible, more personalised, and more connected to the patient”.
The service is currently available across Chennai. Patients can contact the 24×7 helpline 044-2888-2888 for details about eligibility and scheduling.
